How Much Does Windscreen Replacement Cost?
Transparent pricing with no hidden fees
Windscreen replacement costs depend on your specific vehicle. A standard windscreen for a small hatchback like a Ford Fiesta or Vauxhall Corsa will be significantly less than one for a premium SUV with heated glass and ADAS cameras. Our instant quote tool gives you the exact price for your vehicle in seconds.
What affects the cost?
Vehicle make and model
Every windscreen is made to specific dimensions and specifications. Premium and newer vehicles tend to use more complex glass.
Glass features
Heated windscreens, rain sensors, head-up display compatibility, and acoustic glass all affect the price.
ADAS calibration
Vehicles with camera-based safety systems require ADAS calibration after replacement. This is included in your quote if applicable.
OEM vs aftermarket glass
Original manufacturer glass costs more than aftermarket alternatives. Both meet safety standards and are covered by our warranty.
Is the quoted price final?
Yes. The price you see in your instant quote is what you pay. It includes the windscreen, professional fitting, all materials, technician travel, and VAT. If your vehicle requires ADAS calibration, that's included too. There are no hidden extras.

Get Your Exact PriceWhen Do You Need a Windscreen Replacement?
Not every chip or crack means a full replacement — here's how to tell
Your windscreen is a critical safety component. It provides up to 30% of your vehicle's structural strength, supports correct airbag deployment, and protects you in a rollover. When the damage is too severe for a repair, replacement is the only safe option.
Small chips (smaller than a £2 coin) that haven't spread can often be repaired instead. You can check whether your damage qualifies using our chip repair qualification tool.
A replacement is typically needed when:
- The crack is longer than 40mm (roughly the size of a £1 coin)
- The damage is in your direct line of sight while driving
- There are multiple chips or cracks across the windscreen
- The damage is within 3cm of the windscreen edge
- The inner laminate layer is damaged or delaminating
Driving with a damaged windscreen can result in an MOT failure, a fixed penalty notice, and may invalidate your insurance. If you're unsure whether you need a repair or replacement, get a quote or call us for advice.

What to Expect During Your Windscreen Replacement
A professional process from start to finish, typically completed in 60–90 minutes
Vehicle protection
Your technician covers the dashboard, seats, and surrounding bodywork to prevent any damage during the process.
Old windscreen removal
The damaged windscreen is carefully cut out and the old adhesive is cleaned from the frame. Any trim or mouldings are removed and set aside.
Frame preparation
The frame is cleaned, primed, and prepared to ensure a strong, watertight bond with the new windscreen.
New windscreen fitted
Your new windscreen is positioned and secured with professional-grade polyurethane adhesive. Trim and mouldings are refitted.
Testing & calibration
Wipers, heating elements, rain sensors, and all features are tested. If your vehicle has ADAS, calibration is performed to ensure safety systems function correctly.
Clean-up & handover
Everything is cleaned up and your technician advises on the safe drive-away time — typically 1–2 hours for the adhesive to cure. Avoid car washes and slamming doors for 24 hours.
