Not immediately, but you won’t be waiting forever. We use modern adhesives that typically take 1-2 hours to cure well enough for safe driving. This will vary slightly based on the exact adhesive used and the weather. Before your technician leaves, they’ll let you know exactly when it’ll be safe for you to get on your way. If your car has cameras or sensors mounted on or near the windscreen, yes, you’ll need calibration after replacement. When we fit a new windscreen, even a tiny difference in position can throw these systems off. We’ll recalibrate everything using manufacturer-approved equipment to ensure your safety systems work perfectly. The calibration cost is included in your quote - we’ll never spring it on you as an extra.
For a standard windscreen replacement without ADAS calibration: about 45-90 minutes. With ADAS calibration: add another hour. Side windows are quicker at 30-45 minutes. Rear windows take 1-2 hours. These are approximate times - your technician will give you a more accurate estimate when they arrive and assess your specific vehicle. We’ll work as efficiently as possible without rushing or compromising on quality.
Every job we do comes with a comprehensive 2-year warranty covering both the glass and the workmanship. This means if there’s any issue with the installation or the glass itself (excluding accidental damage or wear and tear), we’ll put it right at no cost to you.
