  • Over 1,000+ remove & refit's carried out
  • 99% success rate for stopping leaks
  • Competitive quote for replacement if the glass comes out damaged
  • Jaguar, Range Rover, Land Rover are common vehicles

Common models: We frequently service Range Rover Evoque, Jaguar i-Pace, Jaguar f-Pace, and Land Rover Defender vehicles experiencing leaking windscreens.

Not just new vehicles: While factory sealing issues are common in newer models, windscreen leaks can affect any vehicle. Sometimes the seal simply perishes over time and causes a leak, especially in vehicles which have rubber mouldings around the glass.

Important limitations: Remove and refit usually fixes leaking windscreens, but this service can only be performed on windscreens - it can't be done on other glass types. Additionally, if your vehicle is leaking due to rust around the windscreen frame, this service won't fix that underlying issue.

⚠️ Glass breakage risk: There is always a risk of the glass breaking during removal despite our careful techniques. We accept no liability in the event of the existing glass breaking during the removal process. If this happens, we will provide you with a competitive quote for windscreen replacement.

Is your car suffering a leaking windscreen?

A common issue we see is modern cars having leaking windscreens. Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) vehicles are currently one of the worst brand of vehicle suffering with this issue. It is often caused at the factory and not discovered until it's raining, or you use a car wash.

Vehicles such as the Range Rover Evoque, Range Rover Sport, Jaguar i-Pace and Jaguar f-Pace are some which we carry out a remove and refit on regularly.

If you've got damp patches on the inside of your vehicle, condensation build-up on the inside of your windscreen, or you're hearing wind noises when driving, then it's highly likely that you may have a leaky windscreen. Our remove and refit service can fix this issue - no new glass needed.

It's not just new vehicles this can happen on, however. Sometimes the original seal wasn't done properly. Sometimes it's just deteriorated over time. Either way, water getting into your car isn't something you want to ignore - it'll cause rust, mould, electrical problems, all sorts.

It's worth noting that there is no guarantee that the windscreen will come out without damage. "Why would the windscreen be damaged if you're experts?"... We hear you ask. Well, when our technicians attend a normal windscreen replacement job, we are usually removing the old glass and replacing it with new glass. When removing the glass, due to the strength of the adhesive, there's a risk that a crack may appear.

Surely you can prevent the glass cracking? Despite our best efforts, damage to the windscreen can't be completely avoided. Due to the strength of the adhesive used to bond the windscreen to the vehicle chassis, this can make removing the windscreen a challenging task, even for the most experienced of techniciains. However, we can confirm that in the 1,000's of remove and refit's we have carried out, only 3 have come out damaged.

What is a Remove & Refit Service?

Our windscreen remove and refit service is designed to fix leaking windscreens by carefully removing the existing glass, cleaning both surfaces, and reinstalling the same windscreen with fresh, high-quality adhesive to ensure a complete and proper seal. This is a common issue, particularly with newer Jaguar Land Rover vehicles, but also affects many other brands where the original seal has deteriorated or was improperly installed.

Here's what the process entails: We use a special wire tool to extract the windscreen as carefully as possible. Once removed, we remove the old adhesive on both the body and glass. We then prime the area and apply fresh, strong adhesive. We then fit the original glass back in, taking great care (as usual) to ensure a smooth fit. The adhesive will take roughly 30 minutes to set and then the job is done.

This professional process ensures your windscreen is resealed correctly, preventing future leaks and protecting your vehicle from water damage, rust, and other related issues.
